We are a multi-faceted provincial union representing over 25,000 public and private sector workers.

The successful applicant will be responsible for, but not limited to, negotiating Collective Agreements, processing grievances, presenting arbitration cases and appeals, servicing members, participating in education training, serving on committees, and attending Local meetings. Work is performed with considerable independence and involves working long hours on a regular basis. Extensive travel and relief to satellite offices in Corner Brook and Grand Falls-Windsor may be required. Other duties as assigned by the President.

The successful incumbent will have a degree in labour relations, law or related field and practical experience or the equivalent in experience and training. Considerable experience in the leading of and negotiating collective agreements; presenting arbitrations and appeals,  and interpreting collective agreements; extensive knowledge of labour and relevant legislation; extensive skills in collective bargaining including ability to draft and interpret contract language; ability to write and present briefs and position papers; strong and effective communication skills; and a dedicated commitment to Union beliefs and principles. Must hold valid driver’s license.

Comprehensive salary and benefits package in accordance with Staff Collective Agreement.
