NAPE Reaches Tentative Agreement with Country Ribbon

ST. JOHN’S, NL– The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE) and Country Ribbon have reached a tentative agreement. NAPE represents approximately 300 workers at Country Ribbon between the production facility in Pleasantville and the Cochrane Pond location.

According to NAPE President Jerry Earle, the tentative agreement includes monetary increases in wages as well as improvements in contract language.

Details of the tentative agreement will be released to members at the ratification meeting, which is currently being scheduled.

“This tentative agreement means that our proud, dedicated, and hard-working members can continue to make high-quality chicken products right here in Newfoundland and Labrador. We are confident that our team has reached an agreement that will be satisfactory to members.”
