The Communicator Summer 2017 (CLICK HERE)
Dear brother/sister,
In an effort to be more environmentally conscious, reduce costs, and with the rise of social media and online avenues to communicate with our members, we have decided to publish the most recent version of the NAPE Communicator – our union’s newsletter – online.
One of the key features of this online version of the Communicator is that links are clickable – clicking a link or some images will bring you directly to the webpage or video for that link.
We are doing this on a trial basis to gauge reaction and uptake. We are hearing from a growing number of members who would prefer to receive updates and information from members electronically and online. Also, as our members increasingly gravitate towards social media and the internet for information from their union, it is becoming increasingly difficult to create a hardcopy publication that delivers information and updates in a timely fashion; it quickly becomes stale.
That said, we also need to balance the wishes of those who prefer hardcopy updates from their union or those who aren’t online.
We are working to strike that balance and this is one step in that process.
