As you are aware, NAPE has reached tentative agreements with the provincial government and respective employers.
NOTE: Due to the nature of holding this many votes and complications that may arise due to inclement weather this time of year, schedules are subject to change at any time. Please check back with the official ratification vote schedule on our website prior to attending to ensure no changes have been made to the date, time, or place. IMPORTANT VOTING INFORMATION
For those who have not voted for a collective agreement before, voting is conducted by secret ballot. Your NAPE membership card is helpful, but NOT necessary to vote.
Each Bargaining Unit has a separate ratification meeting/vote and you can only cast a ballot for the bargaining unit that you are a member of.
You can vote at whatever ratification meeting is most convenient for you, but you can only vote at the component ratification meeting that you are a member of (i.e. A General Service member can ONLY vote at a General Service Ratification Meeting).
At the meeting, members of your bargaining team will go through the details of the collective agreement in detail, answer any and all questions that you may have, and will then hold a vote.
Results for each vote will be released at that meeting. Final results for each component will be released when all voting has concluded, province-wide.
