Dear NAPE member,
We understand that you are anxious and stressed about the current situation particularly as it relates to the COVID-19 variant that was announced last evening.
Please know that we are doing everything in our power to push employers, government, school boards etc. to take quick and decisive action to protect workers to the best of their ability.
We are making progress.
Given the frequency and speed at which things are moving and on so many different fronts, we do not have answers to everybody’s questions at this time but we are working to get them and disseminate them to members as quickly as possible.
Please have patience. We need to support one another right now and that means being kind, patient, and understanding.
We are trying to coordinate, communicate, and deal with hundreds of workplaces and employers, hundreds of classifications, and a large number of affected members.
We will get through this by working together and having each other’s backs. Thank you to all the frontline workers who are out there providing care and keeping the people of our province safe during this extremely difficult time.
