ST. JOHN’S, NL – Members of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE) who work for Browning Harvey Ltd. have voted 98% in favour of ratifying a new collective agreement.

NAPE represents and unites over 60 workers at Browning Harvey in St. John’s and Grand Falls-Windsor.

According to NAPE President Jerry Earle, the Agreement includes monetary increases and improvements in benefits and contract language.

“Our members at Browning Harvey create top quality products that are made right here in Newfoundland and Labrador,” said Earle.

“We are happy to see this result and thank the bargaining teams from both sides for bargaining in good faith to reach a fair deal,” said Earle. “Despite the obstacles placed in our path during the pandemic, our union has continued to negotiate good contracts for our members.”

The new Agreement is effective as of this year and is set to expire in 2026.
