RE: Provincial Women’s Conference

DATE: July 3, 2015

Dear Sister/Brother:

Applications are now being accepted for the NAPE Women’s Conference.  The Conference will be held at the Greenwood Inn and Suites, Corner Brook on September 18-20, 2015.

The selection process for this Conference will be done by Region.  Members who have not attended a Women’s Conference before will be given preference, wherever possible.  Registration is open to female members only. As in previous years, the committee will be compiling a waiting list; therefore, if you apply and cannot attend, it is important you notify accounting immediately since the Committee will be “backfilling” from the wait list.

Transportation for the Conference will be provided by charter bus, which will pick up passengers at designated stops along the Trans Canada Highway.  Members will be reimbursed for their mileage traveling from their homes to and from the nearest place the charter bus stops.  Members living in Labrador will be flown to Deer Lake Airport. A bus will be leaving St. John’s on the morning of Friday, September 18, and leaving to return on Sunday, September 20

All meals will be Per Diem with the exception of Saturday evening’s banquet and Sunday morning’s breakfast.  Saturday evening will be an 80’s theme night.  We will be giving a prize to the top three people who best represent the 80’s style

Accommodations will be based upon double occupancy.  If you are selected and want to share with a specific person should they also be selected, please indicate when you send in your form. This is a smoke free facility so a smoking room is not an option.

Registration will be on Friday, September 18, from 4 -5:30 p.m. in the main lobby of the hotel.  Time off/wage loss is not provided for this Conference.  Any member who is selected to attend must arrange their own time off.

Please circulate this information in your workplace.  The deadline for applications for this Conference is August 17, 2015.  Applications can be mailed to NAPE Office or faxed to (709) 754-0726.
